Axe of Gods
Inspired by the upcoming release of God of War Ragnarök and the release of the original game on PC, I wanted to fully model and texture a similar axe all by myself. I modelled and sculpted it in Blender, Baked textures in Substance and then put the final model into Unreal Engine with some added Megascans assets for decoration. I also used niagara for snow, debris, and rune particle effects, making use of flipbook based randomisation for sprites.
This was my first environment piece and first time creating an asset from start to finish. I am quite happy with it but I will be learning more composition and modelling techniques in the upcoming weeks.
